The team

David

David comes from a family of gardeners. He is a graduate of Engineering from Université de Moncton. After many years working in the forestry products industry he decided to take a chance at organic farming. The opportunity has led him to understand how we are vulnerable to loosing our local food supply, as more and more farmers are disapearing. Combine this loss with polluting practices of modern farming we can see that we need to rebuild a local and sustainable agriculture industry if want to have access to healthy foods.

He believes that a strong society is built around sustainable organisations and businesses and that businesses that make decisions based on the long term impact on the local community will remain strong and viable for many years even if it means making less profit. If the community supports local businesses, the impact caused by decisions made on Bay Street or Wall Street should have minimal disruption on our local economy.

Eddy

Eddy

Eddy is the farm's border collie. When he is not driving the tractor, he loves to herd whatever moves; since there is no cattle or sheep on the farm, squirrels and chipmonks are acceptable substitutes. He is also very good at catching mice and keeping the deer and racoons at bay.
