Thanks for stopping by at the last two market in Dieppe. Approximately 300 tomato plants will have made their way into gardens across the region. By purchasing a heritage tomato plant, you have helped in preserving a rich diversity of seeds. At the same time you will be tasting unique flavours that can't be found in stores.
Lets hope the wet period we are going through right now is not a sign of what we will be getting all summer. With very wet conditions, blight is a disease that may affect your tomatoes. Keep an eye on the lower leaves and remove and discard them if they start turning yellow. Also avoid walking through your plants when they are wet as you may inadvertently carry disease from one plant to the other.

I am enjoying my weekly baskets but have a couple of comments. The last 2 weeks I have had greens I couldn't identify even with your lists? Is there any way to have pictures posted on the website or stickers on the bags?
Is there any place on your website to share receipes?
The last 2 weeks there have been extra squash to pick up but is there also a basket to exchange items?
I have lots of oregano & chives growing and wondering if I could bring it to leave for others to take if they want?

I am in the process of starting my own organic farm in Newfoundland. I came upon your site and I am very impressed by what you have accomplished. Where did you obtain your greenhouse cold frame structure? Can you provide a company that supplies them? The greenhouse that you have on your website is the one that I am interested in. When I get my greenhouse established, I will be needing supplies. I understand you can provide some of them and I will be in touch with you when I need them. Also, did you receive any government funding when you started. I have applied to a couple of organizations for funding, but still waiting on their response. Any help that you can provide me would be greatly appreciated. I am sure we will be in touch again in the near future.
